This is just a sample of Ron Dennell's collection of over 50 Ludwig Kits.  I hope to put more of his collection up in the near future.

He has been collecting Ludwig kits since the 80's.  Check the aluminum Super-Sensitive out.

This is Ron's first Luddy set.  He's the original owner and bought them brand new in the
late 70's.  This kit features the first version of the modular system which Ron removed
to use a rims mount.. no extra holes and absolutely mint.. 14x24 9x13 16x16
16x18 with 6x14 supersensitive.  Wow!
Ron's favorite jazz gig set.  1962 (pre-serial number) Sparkling Blue Pearl in 14x20, 8x12, 14x14 with matching 4x14 Downbeat snare and
canister throne.
1964 Black Diamond Pearl Club Date set 20/12/14 with  nickel hardware and an Acrolite
snare.. very good sounding set.
Ron believes this may be a prototype Super-Sensitive.  It's a 1963 brushed aluminum 5x14  
Super-Sensitive dated 11-7-63... really weird.. looks to be totally factory made.

Rare 1972 lacquered brass 5x14 Super-Sensitive snare in mint condition.

(I have a Supra-Phonic from the 70s in lacquered brass.  You don't see many of these though!)
1971 Psychedelic Red 20/20/12/13/16 kit.  Mint with no fade.  Virgin bass drums.  This kit was purchased from the original owner.  Groovy baby!
24/13/14/16 Vistalites.  All original and perfect!
1963 Red Sparkle 22/13/16 with matching 5x14 jazz festival...Ron's favorite playing set! 
Factory double l-arm cymbal stands on bass drum.  Very sharp!
